As many other Walkman phone series, Sony Ericsson W580i has been equipped with Walkman 2.0 music player (instead of Walkman 4.0 used by the SE W995 model). The music player supports for playing MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+ and WMA file formats. It also comes with the Track ID music recognition, Stereo FM radio with RDS, and standard 3.5 mm headset jack. This phone is powered by a 930 mAh Li-Po battery (BST-38). The company claimed that it is capable of supplying 370 hours of standby time and 540 minutes of talk time.
